IObit Uninstaller

Remove all unwanted or obsolete apps together with all their residual files

With less visible new options than in previous versions, IObit Uninstaller still manages to keep improving a free tool that seemed to have reached its maximum. This excellent utility is capable of removing from your drives the most reticent apps, toolbars, plug-ins, and browser add-ons, complete with all residual files, as well as any unwanted Windows Apps. For the most stubborn programs, this tool offers you Force Uninstall, which will allow you to manually remove any application or shortcut’s target file.

Nothing has changed much in the interface design area, and nothing seems to have changed much either as far as new functionality goes. The improvements performed by IObit refer mainly to Force Uninstall, the Infrequently Used Programs scan, and the overall performance of the program’s Powerful Scan and its ability to remove all leftovers. Nothing the naked eye can see, but they’re all necessary enhancements and updates that surely add to the program’s already excellent reputation.

IObit Uninstaller can show you all the apps installed on your system or filter them by those more recently installed, those that are larger, those you use less frequently, and those that are but Windows updates and that tend to pile up month after month on our PC. Likewise, you will find specific sections for your browsers’ Toolbars and plug-ins (especially useful for those that install themselves without asking for permission) and Windows Apps.

You can uninstall any item on any of the lists or a bunch of them. To do so, simply check the box beside the name and the program will get rid of all of them and – most importantly – of all the leftovers and residual files that uninstallers love to leave behind. This task is called Powerful Scan, and while it is offered as an option when you uninstall individual apps one at a time, it is performed automatically after the standard uninstalling procedure whenever your check more than one app. This powerful cleaning feature that gets rid of all residual files is, to me, one of the program’s main assets, and one of the reasons why this is the only uninstaller you’ll find on my desktop. For those leftovers that were there on your computer before you installed IObit Uninstaller, you can use Cleanup Residual, a standalone feature that will perform the same thorough clean-up procedure with those residual files left behind by previous uninstallers.

With the same high level of efficiency and the same easy-to-navigate interface of previous versions, but with enhanced scan and removal capabilities, IObit Uninstaller is still the only uninstall utility you will ever need to replace the lame app removal functionality provided by Windows.

Ivan IObit Uninstaller is easily the best Windows uninstall utility I've come across. Browser toolbar and plug-in removal and well-designed interface make it a winner.

Guest #35870184 IObit Uninstaller is a wonderful program that lets you make sure that anything you delete is completely cleaned from your computer system. It's easy to use for those who are computer savvy, as well as for those a little less experienced.

It's a great way to keep your computer in the tip-top condition, it requires you to do some work, but also be in control.

Aashit Sable I think, IObit stands on 2nd rank. First is Revo; because of its shell context menu & scanning leftovers of previously removed programs.

Guest #36795852 To a degree I agree but I really like that even in the free version you can batch uninstall apps, I think this option is available in the paid for version, and fair enough.
